You will be asked a combination of between 1 and 5 of the following safety and maintenance questions prior to your module 2 test. The questions on bike maintenance are SHOW or TELL questions, you will not be asked to actually perform any maintenence, just to have an understanding of the very basics, and we will go through these questions with you prior to test:

BIKE/RIDER/PILLION SAFETY QUESTIONS

Adjustments which may be necessary when carrying a pillion are:
1:Stiffen rear suspension – see owners manual.
2:Increase rear tyre pressure – see owners manual.
3:Adjust mirrors.
4:Adjust headlamp.

Effects of carrying a pillion passenger may be:
1:Acceleration slower due to weight.
2:-Braking slower due to extra weight.
3:Control especially on corners will be more difficult.
4:Slow speed manoeuvring becomes more difficult.

The legal requirements for carrying a pillion are:
1:Rider must have full motorbike licence.

What can cause of loss of balance:
1:Windy conditions / Poor road surface
2:Poor tyre pressures / suspension adjustment.
3:Luggage not evenly distributed.
4:Consumption of alcohol / drugs.
